Occupational Health Coordinator

MODEC is looking for an experienced and committed Occupational Health Coordinator who will be responsible for the following:

Responsibilities

•Assure the continuous and proactive health surveillance of workers by meticulously analyzing occupational medical examinations, managing medical reports for absenteeism, and coordinating patient referrals to social security institutions to ensure regulatory compliance and enhance overall worker health status.

•Conduct regular workplace visits and comprehensive occupational health audits to ensure the thorough identification, accurate quantification, and diligent assessment of work-related health hazards and their impact on functional capacity

•Assure stringent compliance with all applicable national and international laws, health regulations, and internal corporate policies and procedures.

•Support the prevention of occupational risk exposure by collaborating in the identification, precise quantification, and effective stratification of risks through the Risk Management Program to propose and monitor specific preventive and mitigating medical measures aligned with federal labor regulations.

Requirements

•Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), or Medical Doctor (MD)Specialization in Occupational Medicine, NEBOSH, OSHA or ACGIH.

•Registration with the Medical Council of Guyana.

•Advanced Microsoft Office Package knowledge
