Airswift is seeking a Procurement Supervisor to work at Georgetown- Guyana, on a permanent position with a consumer products distribution company, to work in the Receiving area of the Supply Chain.

Required: Professionals with experience in sectors such as beverages, food, pharmaceuticals, cleaning products, etc.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Professionals with hands-on purchasing experience:

The role focuses on managing the inbound supply chain for a variety of products.

Product categories include alcoholic beverages, other beverages, food (including frozen goods), pharmaceuticals, cleaning products, etc.

Inventory forecasting (maintaining up to 3 months of stock, accounting for expiration dates).

Managing import lead times, carriers/logistics providers, and port clearance costs.

Monitoring market demand and pricing.

Controlling inventory levels and challenging excessive purchase requests from the marketing department.

Requires hands-on purchasing experience (candidates focused on execution).

The role requires direct involvement in supplier selection and negotiation (sourcing), rather than merely supervising or outsourcing the process to suppliers.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s Degree

Experience in supervisory roles in the field is required.
