MODEC GUYANA is hiring a professional to work OFFSHORE as PTW COORDINATOR with responsibilities (not limited) as the ones described below:
Overall job purpose:
Responsible for coordinating the platform permit-to-works and ensuring effective adherence to the latest PTW Process Standard registered on MODEC Integrated Management System. Supervision of safety, personnel competency, and operational aspects of onboard activities in order to contribute for the achievement of objectives and goals established by the unit’s management on department activities planning.
Core Responsibilities:
Prepare and participate in Permit to Work (PTW) coordination meetings. Ensure no conflict of interest between work tasks requests via SIMOPS.
Ensure all work permits are fully approved before commencement of any work permit related task or operation.
Ensure that all required complementary documents/certificates including, risk assessments, MSDS and isolation certificates are fully approved and attached to any work permit.
Check that appropriate Gas Detectors are issued to PTW users and that the required competencies are in place to operate and monitor the device(s).
Assist with the Risk Assessment process as required and maintains a database of all previously used Risk Assessments so that they can be retrieved for future possible use.
Establish accurate records and filing of PTW information in retrievable / accessible manner and in accordance with MODEC policy.
Ensure strict adherence to PTW Process Standard in all aspects.
Assists personnel with PTW training and assessment tasks as required.
Assists other Department as required without compromising PTW delivery schedules and targets.
Keeps a log of all registered AGT users and ensures ongoing training with the Onboard Trainer as required.
Audits the PTW System on site and checks compliance with the HSE Management System.
Educational Qualifications and Background Experiences:
Formal Trade Craft Qualifications or Degree Level Qualification, preferably in Engineering or Safety;
Experience on Permit to Work supervision, isolations system and risk assessments;
Experience and knowledge of hydrocarbon processing and utility systems;
MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel and Word);
Good understanding of SMS with particular focus on isolation standards, Lock Out Tag Out procedures and PTW rules;
Fluent English
