Tax Analyst

MODEC is seeking an experienced and committed Tax Analyst who will be responsible for the following:

Key Responsibilities

•Managing cycle from receipt of invoices to payment; including coding invoices, matching purchase orders, obtaining approval.

•Calculating taxes and after reviewed by Finance Manager, send the corresponding payment vouchers to the Finance Department.

•Conducting thorough tax research to ensure compliance with local tax laws and regulations.

•Analyzing the company’s financial activities to identify tax savings opportunities and ensure compliance with tax laws.

•Monitoring changes in tax legislation and update the appropriate departments on the impacts.

•Ensuring the reconciliation between accounting and tax books, by checking accounting and tax balances.

•Filling in all the tax statements such as: Corporation, property taxes, Value-added Tax, withholding taxes and ensure that the values involved were properly registered into the system.

Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Law or a related field. Professional certification: ACCA, CPA or equivalent.

•Strong analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal and communication skills.

•Experience in Tax Accounting or related field.
