MODEC Guyana Inc. is seeking to identify qualified and experienced SUBCONTRACTOR capable of providing comprehensive maintenance and technical support services for Cargo Vapor Recovery Unit (VRU) compressors installed onboard its FPSO units.
The SUBCONTRACTOR shall assume full responsibility for the provision of technical expertise, qualified personnel, specialized tools, consumables, and spare parts required to ensure the reliable and efficient operation of the compressors. Services will primarily be executed offshore onboard FPSO facilities, with additional onshore workshop support required when equipment overhaul or detailed repairs are necessary.
Scope includes, but is not limited to:
Technical Support
• Monitoring system performance and operating parameters
• Inspection and diagnostics of compressor systems
• Analysis of operational data to support maintenance planning and optimization
• Recommendations for operational improvements and reliability enhancement
Preventive & Predictive Maintenance
• Execution of routine maintenance in accordance with OEM recommendations and MODEC procedures
Periodic inspections (6-month and 12-month intervals) including:
• Vibration monitoring
• Temperature checks
• Seal and bearing inspections
• Alignment verification
• Instrumentation checks
• Performance monitoring and trend analysis
• Updating maintenance systems and reporting
Corrective Maintenance
Troubleshooting and rectification of faults such as:
• Low discharge pressure
• Excessive vibration
• Seal failures
• Bearing issues
• Overheating and cavitation
• Repair or replacement of defective components
• Root cause analysis and reporting
Emergency Maintenance
• Provision of rapid response services for failures
• Mobilization within 72 hours
• Restoration of equipment functionality in compliance with safety standards
Onshore Workshop Services
Full overhaul and refurbishment of compressors and components, including:
• Rotor and casing repairs
• Mechanical seal overhaul
• Bearing replacement
• Dynamic balancing
• Performance testing and certification
• Issuance of detailed “as-found” and “as-left” reports
Requirements
Technical Requirements
Compliance with international standards, including:
• API 681 – Liquid Ring Compressors
• API 682 – Mechanical Seals
• ISO 10816 / ISO 20816 – Vibration
• ISO 14224 – Reliability Data
• ISO 9001 – Quality Management
• Proven experience in maintenance of liquid ring compressors (NASH XL-750 or equivalent)
• Capability to perform both offshore and onshore services
Personnel Requirements
Qualified personnel including:
• Mechanical/Rotating Equipment Engineers
• Compressor Specialists
• Certified Technicians
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
• Valid offshore certifications (medical, safety training, etc.)
• Competency in diagnostics, alignment, vibration analysis, and repair
