MODEC Guyana is seeking a SUBCONTRACTOR to provide support to fulfil the legal requirements and obligations regarding certification of firefighting systems and equipment from CLASS, PORT STATE, FLAG STATE, and LOCAL LEGISLATION.
The SUBCONTRACTOR will be required to embark the FPSO with a trained team to perform necessary inspections and any repairs (if needed).
This scope covers, but is not limited to, the items below:
• NOVEC 1230 system.
• Fire Hydrant Valves
• Water fire hose
• Water Mist
• Wet Chemical System for the Galley
• Water system
• Foam system (foam tanks and helideck foam tanks)
• Emergency Escape Breathing Device (EEBD)
• Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA)
• Breathing Air Compressor
• Fire extinguishers
Requirements
1. The SUBCONTRACTOR shall have at least five years of experience in inspection, certification and maintenance of firefighting systems and equipment in FPSOs.
2. The SUBCONTRACTOR must supply its own equipment with adequate certification for the task.
3. The SUBCONTRACTOR should be able to perform repairs in the systems and equipment.
4. The SUBCONTRACTOR shall be expert with Guyana legislation, the environmental permit (MODEC will provide), industry best practices, the applicable flag state, port state and class standards to FPSOs.
5. The SUBCONTRACTOR shall be able to provide a fully offshore trained team in safety (e.g. BOSIET and HUET) for the embark and have them trained in appliable technical courses to meet the maintenance and certification standards.
6. The SUBCONTRACTOR must have adequate PPE and gas detectors (if applicable) for protection when going onboard.
