Lubrication Service

MODEC Guyana Inc. seeks information from qualified local companies (“SUBCONTRACTORS”) capable of providing Lubrication Services to support reliable operation of FPSO topsides rotating equipment.

The selected SUBCONTRACTOR will be responsible for:
• Planning and executing routine lubrication for compressors, pumps, turbines, fans, generators, gearboxes, and auxiliaries per MODEC Standards and OEM recommendations.
• Establishing and maintaining detailed lubrication schedules/routes with clear frequencies and task lists.
• Provide qualified lubrication technicians offshore, with competency requirements covering oil selection, application methods, contamination control, and safety (PTW, LOTO, work at height, confined spaces, hot surfaces).
• Performing contamination control: clean application, correct product/type/quantity, filter changes, offline filtration, dehydration (water removal), and varnish mitigation (VRF) as required.
• Conducting lube oil sampling and analysis (viscosity, water, ISO 4406 particle count, wear metals, oxidation, additive depletion, ferrous debris, varnish potential) and issuing condition based recommendations.
• Managing lubricants, consumables, small spares, and housekeeping; segregating wastes and reusable lubricants per MODEC policy with proper documentation.
• Operating and maintaining MODEC’s lubrication management system (integrated with SAP routes), including master data, task history, and reporting.
• Supporting corrective and emergency maintenance related to lubrication, including technical justifications and execution plans for parts replacement.
• Support onshore maintenance needs with the availability of an approved workshop.

Requirements
• Availability of qualified personnel including Field Service Representatives, Planning Engineers, Onshore Lubrication Specialists, and IT Specialists.
• Proven experience delivering offshore lubrication programs, including condition monitoring and oil analysis.
• Demonstrated compliance with OEM recommendations, and applicable ISO/ASME/API/AGMA/NLGI/ASTM standards (e.g., ISO 4406, ISO 21469, ISO 6743, ISO 3448, ASTM D445/D6304).
• Capability to provide EX compliant, class certified tools and equipment (filtration units, thermo vacuum pumps, dehydration units, VRF), with valid calibration certificates.
• Emergency response readiness to mobilize within 72 hours and replacement of failed contractor equipment within 2 days (subject to flight availability).
