Vessel Positioning System Services

MODEC Guyana is seeking the services of a SUBCONTRACTOR to provide services for the MARIN Vessel Positioning System (VPS) installed on the FPSO Errea Wittu.

The SUBCONTRACTOR shall be required to provide annual inspection services on the various components on the VPS including but not limited to the cabinet, computer, and antenna.

Scope of Work:
• Annual onsite inspection/health check of the VPS cabinet, computers, GNSS/IALA/UHF equipment, and antennas
• Configuration, installation updates, and software operation/diagnostics for the VPS
• System logs/alarm validation and annual data archive backup
• Cleaning/maintenance tasks (e.g., cabinet fan filters; cabling/connectors inspection; antenna connector protection)
• Remote/secondary screen monitoring setup verification
• Reporting: Inspection Report, Inspection Sheets, Daily Work Report, Daily Management Report, system diagnostics reports (all in English)
• Certification of the VPS and associated components
• Technical support for root cause analysis and corrective actions on anomalies/chronic defects
• Action plan proposals for deviations/high risk findings, including material specifications

Requirements
• OEM approval/authorization to maintain the specific VPS (MARIN); minimum 4 years’ experience with Vessel Positioning Systems
• Proven track record: at least 1 offshore project and a minimum of 2 different offshore units inspected
• Personnel shall have technical knowledge of VPS equipment, ability to adjust/inspect instrumentation and training from recognized institutions.
• Relevant certifications including Occupational Health Certificate, BOSIET (Basic Offshore Safety Induction, HUET, CompEx or equivalent Hazardous Area equipment inspection and maintenance certification and others
• Vendor should be compliant with standards including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001/ISO 45001, ISO/INMETRO 17020, CEN EN 54, Maritime requirements (SOLAS)
• Service technicians must comply with MODEC’s permit to work and cybersecurity procedures.
